Once back at the cabin with the tiny ball of yellow-and-orange fur, Angela set up the litter box and the kitten’s food and water bowls. Then she spent the next thirty minutes showing him where it all was over and over again until she thought he was familiar with the way to get to them.

She planned to fix a salad for dinner and then go to bed early since she would need to be up early to start getting the various side dishes for the cookout ready. After wearing out the ball of fur by playing with all of its toys, she settled it in the box her boots had come in with one of her old shirts and left it sleeping while she fixed her salad.

No matter how hard she tried to not think about Randy and the woman or how his cock had felt against her thumb, she couldn’t numb her mind to it. Instead she jumped from one thought to another, getting so angry with herself that she finally let out a frustrated yell. The kitten woke up and immediately started mewing for his family.

Angela bent and picked up the little thing and sat in the chair with it cradled in her arms. He kneaded her chest and purred next to her ear after climbing up to curl up on her shoulder in the curtain of her hair. He needed a name, one he could grow into one day. She considered several before finally settling on Harley Davidson, Harley D for short.

After settling Harley D down for the night once again, Angela took a quick shower and jumped into bed. She had a long day ahead of her and wanted to be sure everything turned out okay. She’d never put together a meal for this many people before other than family get-togethers. Sure, this was just a cookout, but it was important to her bosses for some reason.

Dreams of Randy, Travis, and the blonde bitch tortured her all night. Tossing and turning, she fought her emotions while trying to keep her job in a strange dream world that mirrored her own.
